Team Ministry

There are many teams that operate in the church.  The deacons take a key leadership role working as a team to give direction to the work of the church.  The Centre Management Team enables the work of the centre alongside the Centre Manager and the café is enabled by a volunteer team working with the café supervisors. There is a Pastoral Care team and Young peoples work is co-ordinated by a management team that supports the many different youth and children’s teams And, of course, there is the Ministry Team.

In 1 Corinthians chapter 12, Paul speaks of the church as ‘the body of Christ’ and speaks about how that body needs to work together to enable the ministry of Christ to continue in every age.  As a church we recognise ourselves as both part of the wider body of Christ, in relationship with other local churches and the worldwide Church, whilst we also recognise Queens Road Baptist Church as a localised expression of ‘the body of Christ’ that by definition needs to learn to work together.

Jan Fisher and John Montgomery serve the church as Church Secretary and Church Treasurer respectively.  These are voluntary roles and are highly time consuming and responsible.  John and Jan put a lot of hours into serving the church which we greatly appreciate.
