REAL Ladies group  3rd March at 7.00pm

The next meeting of the group will be a ‘Book Swap’ at the home of Chris Banks. A good chance to sort through your books and let someone else enjoy one that you can recommend! You can also lend books ( make sure your name is in them) and recommend titles for those who use a kindle! There will be snacks and nibbles, maybe even cake! All welcome. Speak to Chris Banks, Ruth Lewis or Liz Russell -Yarde for more info or contact them via the Church office

Arts and Crafts Group - 12th March, 10am till noon   (and monthly - see the website calendar)

We do not usually put meetings of regular groups on this page but we are making an exception  to make this group more widely known. At the March meeting Coral & Marie will show how to create a card from bits & bobs based on a choice of a couple of Spring/Easter designs. Some materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own ideas to share if you wish. If there is a surplus of ideas, that will be a bonus &  some will be saved for another session! You will need scissors, glue or glue stick, a pencil & ruler and small sticky fixes if you have them."

Lent Bible Study Series

"Jesus in John's Gospel" 12th 19th and 26th March and 2nd April at 7.30pm led by Rev Ralph Hanger. All welcome.

Lent Preaching series

The Passion and Resurrection - Organ Recital - Saturday 4th April - 6.30pm

The programme will consist of classical organ works, all relating to the Passion and Resurrection of Christ, by Herbert Howells, Johannes Brahms, J S Bach and other composers for the organ from various ages.  Alongside solo pieces, played by Pavlos, the programme will include congregational hymns and readings on the Easter theme.

Our guest organist, Pavlos Triantaris, originates from Greece, and is currently a postgraduate student in Electrical Engineering at Imperial College, London.  He maintains a very enthusiastic and active interest in church organ music, along with a strong Christian faith.   Pavlos is an organ scholar at Chingford Parish Church and regularly gives recitals there and at other churches.

This will be a joyful evening, being organised by our Foodbank Team, and is dedicated to Easter.  Refreshments of tea, coffee and biscuits will be served at the end of the programme.

There will not be a charge for this concert, however a freewill offering in support of the Queen’s Road, Coventry, Foodbank will be taken.

We do hope that you will be able to join with us for this inspirational evening.
