Bible Study

Advent Bible Studies with Rev Ralph Hanger

Advent is the period just before Christmas when Christians often seek to prepare themselves to celebrate the coming of Jesus to earth.  In our Advent Bible studies we will be looking at some of the ways in which God was preparing people, through the Old Testament, for this momentous event of the coming of the Messiah. As well as reading back into Old Testament prophecies and events, we will try to think what they meant to those involved at the time.

We meet on Zoom for 4 Thursdays, starting on Thursday 26th November at 7.30pm for just over an hour.  Full discussion is encouraged!

If you would like to join in the discussion in on the Bible studies for the next few weeks you can find them here  if you are are registered for access to the Members Area of the website or you can send an email to Ralph and he will send you the appropriate zoom link.

Notes for each week should appear below a day or two before the study.

Studies on the Letters of John by Rev Ralph Hanger

Each Thursday at 7.30pm from 17th September

The studies this autumn will be based in the Letters of John in the New Testament. These three letters are brief, especially the last two, but contain some exceptionally useful material for us in our overall understanding of God’s plan for our lives and how this is to be achieved.

Notes will appear here by Wednesday (see below) to have a look at before the Thursday evening.

The study notes on the website are sufficient in themselves but the virtual study enables us to encourage one another and learn together.

If you would like to join in the discussion in on the Bible studies on John's Letters for the next few weeks please send an email to Ralph and he will send you the appropriate zoom link.
